Research direction: regional economy and planning, urban and rural development and planning, industrial space development and planning, etc., with recent focus mainly on multistyle center network spatial structure of cities and regions, urban innovation space, etc.
Doctor Li Yingcheng, male, comes from Lianshui, Jiangsu Province. He graduated from chool of Economics and Management, Southeast University in June 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in international economics and trade; from School of Architecture, Southeast University in June 2014 with a mastes degree of engineering in urban planning and design; and from UCL Bartlett School of Architecture in July 2017 with a doctors degree in urban planning and economic geography From November 2017 to August 2019, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Urban Research and Planning, MIT.Since September 2019, he has been working as an (on-job) >professor and doctoral advisor of Southeast University, mainly engaged in the study and teaching of urban and regional planning, urban and economic geography. Students are welcome to continue their studies as graduate students in the above-mentioned majors.
So far, he has published more than 30 papersn core journals at home and abroad, including 13 papers (including one highly cited ESI paper) collected by SCI / SSCI as the first author, with relevant achievements mainly published on international well-known journals in urban and regional planning, city and economic geography, including Landscape and Urban Planning, Urban Studies, Cities, Urban Geography, Regional Studies, Habitat International, Papers in Regional Science, Growth and Change, and Urban Planning, Chinese Garden, Journal of Geographical Science,Journal of Urban Planning, International Urban Planning and other domestic core journals. He also serves as the specially invited reviewer of nearly 20 international famous SCI / SSCI journals, including Journal of Economic Geography, Landscape and Urban Planning, Regional Studies, Habitat International.
As a core member, he has participated in more than 10 provincial and ministerial level programs, including national key R & D programs, key programs funded by the National Social Science Fund of China and key programs funded by Social Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province. He has led and participated in more than 20 regional, urban and rural planning and design projects, possessing rich academic and practical knowledge in industrial space (industrial park) development and planning, urban and regional strategic planning, etc.
He has won the gold prize for excellent thesis of Qian Xuesen's Urban Science Award, the excellent thesis award of National Steering Committee of Urban and Rural Planning Education in China and the excellent thesis award in young scholars’ thesis competition of he Regional Science Association of China.
